Business in Glasgow (BiG) is a non-profit organisation serving the business and offices community by adding value to individuals and teams in the workplace.

Why does BiG exist?

Today’s business and office environment is challenging and demanding. How do we work well, do a good job by our employer and at the same time have a fulfilling personal life? Just some of the issues we face are:

  • time management
  • meeting deadlines
  • handling stress
  • relating to colleagues and bosses
  • relating to customers/clients
  • relating to suppliers
  • meeting government regulations
  • continuous professional development
  • balancing work and personal life
  • maintaining health in the workplace

We aim to enable people within the city centre to meet, form networks and obtain advice and training on topical issues.

What do BiG offer?

We offer a of series of stimulating and helpful lunchtime seminars covering topical issues. Occasionally we can offer in-depth seminars for people or companies who have found one of our First Tuesday lunchtime events particularly relevant and would like to think and talk more about the subject. To discuss this with us, please contact Peter Gardner.

Who are BiG?

The organisation is sponsored by city-centre churches, notably Renfield St Stephen’s and Adelaide Place Baptist Church, both in Bath Street. BiG seeks to serve all who work in the city centre regardless of age, gender, cultural, ethnic or religious background. BiG seeks to network people and thereby foster friendship and provide additional support.

BiG is a Registered Scottish Charity – no: SC 035109. BiG welcomes donations from individuals, under the Gift Aid scheme. Individuals can donate to BiG through our page at JustGiving.com. BiG also welcomes donations from companies. Details are available on request.
